Social Media Assistant (Level 1)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Media Assistant to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and a strong understanding of how to effectively use social media to reach and engage with target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Develop and execute a social media strategy, including planning, executing and analysing social media campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Content Creation: Create and curate engaging, shareable and relevant content for social media, including images, videos, and blog posts
  • Community Management: Monitor and respond to followers' comments, messages, and reviews and engage with the community to build relationships and drive engagement
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media metrics and create regular reports to measure the success of social media campaigns
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure a consistent and cohesive brand message across all social media channels
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with current social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend new and innovative approaches to social media
  • Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute and manage social media advertising campaigns, including creating ad copy, targeting, and budgeting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to write clear and engaging content for social media
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and tools, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Hootsuite
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using social media analytics tools to measure and report on the success of campaigns
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships with stakeholders
