Marketing Assistant (Level 1)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team. As a Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, implementing and executing our company's marketing strategy and campaigns. You will work closely with the sales team to generate leads and promote the company's products and services. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of marketing and have a passion for promoting businesses and brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans, including digital marketing, email marketing, social media, events, and traditional marketing strategies
  • Create and manage content for marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, and promotional materials
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and services
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns, including basic on page search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and social media advertising
  • Manage the company's social media accounts and presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to inquiries, and analysing performance metrics
  • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, including creating and distributing newsletters, promotional emails, and other communications to customers and prospects
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop lead-generation strategies and implement marketing campaigns to support sales goals
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including marketing agencies, printers, and event organizers
  • Stay up-to-date with marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, and continuously improve marketing programs and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in marketing preferable, with demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Understanding of digital marketing tools and channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and content marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling marketing content
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and create reports that inform decision-making
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and design teams
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, such as HubSpot or similar, is preferred
